Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Group for Anxiety

What is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)?

o   ACT is an effective treatment for anxiety that uses acceptance, mindfulness, and commitment to making meaningful changes

o   ACT helps you identify thoughts, feelings, and emotions that are barriers to living a valued, meaningful life and the steps needed to make change

o   Through ACT, you will learn how to do what matters – despite your worry

How do I know if ACT is right for me?

ACT might be a useful treatment for you if:

o   You’ve tried other therapies that weren’t a good fit

o   You’re tired of the anxiety controlling you

o   You don’t do the things you used to enjoy because of your worry

o   You find your mind is racing or often focused on worry thoughts

o   You want to stop struggling with anxiety and start living your life
