Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy typically occurs once per week and is a 45 to 50-minute session. This therapy is most useful for individuals who feel that their current issues and areas for growth are (mostly) specific to them. Most mental health concerns can be addressed in individual therapy.

Intensive Individual Therapy

There are some situations and diagnoses where intensive therapy is not only useful but has been indicated to be better treated by longer sessions that occur more frequently typically 3-5 days per week across several weeks. The advantage of intensive therapy is experiencing change more quickly than traditional therapy and with less in-between session backslide. Many people find the continuity of multiple sessions per week to be helpful in staying consistent with growth and progress.

Diagnoses that have been shown to benefit from grouped or intensive therapy include:

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Agoraphobia and other Phobias

  • Anxiety Disorders

Unfortunately, insurance does not cover intensive therapy as most insurance companies limit the length of sessions and the number of sessions you can have per week. For this reason, intensive individual therapy is provided as an out-of-pocket/cash-pay service.

Rates 

Individual therapy is $220 per 45 to 50-minute session.

Intensive Therapy rates are $325 per 90-minute session.
